Designing and setting up your advertising area at a wedding show is one of the most important parts of participating in a wedding show. If you’re a vendor, you only have a few seconds to grab the attendee’s attention as they walk by. Having the right items in your advertising space is crucial. So what are the some of the best booth handouts at wedding shows? Today, we’re sharing three things to consider handing out to make your next wedding show a success!
Discount or Freebie
One of the best ways to woo a potential client is to offer a discount or free service. Does the wedding show have raffles or giveaways? Consider offering a free or discounted service. This will most likely be advertised before the show to draw attendees and will market your business more than your booth alone. If the show does not have giveaways, that doesn’t mean you can’t do a giveaway right at your booth! Regardless, always make sure to try and collect couple’s names & contact information. If you can, make a note on your sheet of any details you garnered when talking to the couple. Follow up with the couples following the show and offer a discount or friendly hello the next week, and reference anything you remembered from chatting with them.
Business Card or other media
It’s always good to send couples away with something tangible they can place in their swag bag. Whether it’s a flyer, rack card or business card, make sure it displays your logo, a distinct call to action and your contact information. There is a lot of debate as to whether or not passing out flyers is smart or a waste of money, but our theory is, it can never hurt! The more times a potential client comes across your logo, the better. Also, make sure to bring price sheets or package details to the event as well. As you speak with couples who seem more interested in your work, hand them more information on the services you provide. This will show the couple you mean business and help seal the deal!
Let’s be honest: whether you’re a vendor or an attendee, we all love grabbing a sweet treat at wedding shows. After browsing a show full of various wedding vendors and products, attendees love a little pick me up, so whether you’re a bakery or not, having a sweet treat at your booth is a great idea. One great option we’ve seen at shows is having your logo printed on a cookie or wrap a package of mints with your unique branding and style. This will again put your logo in front of couples while also satisfying their sweet tooth!
